Our first three years at Toronto South African Film Festival were a great success!

Thank you to all our sponsors, donors and festival attendees. We greatly appreciate your support over the past two years.

One of our goals at TSAFF is to raise as much money as possible for Education without Borders. We all care deeply about providing quality education to children in impoverished areas of South Africa. You have helped us to achieve this goal.

Our other goal is to celebrate the history, culture and politics of South Africa through film. Over the past three years, we have partnered with some of South African’s hottest talent and top-tier filmmakers. We have also had the privilege of showcasing some up-and-coming talent.

For our fourth annual festival, 2017 promises to be an amazing event, held at the TIFF Bell Lightbox. Our Gala will be held on Saturday October 14 at 7:00 pm at our coveted new venue. As always, this is our biggest fundraiser of the year. We will offer you a thought-provoking film followed by a party that our attendees talk about for years to come. People still comment on the hilarious gala evening we had with comedian Nic Rabinowitz in 2014. In 2015, participants were provoked and inspired by Director Jyoti Mistry who flew from South Africa for her Q and A after the screening of her film Impunity.

Throughout the day on Saturday, we will offer you a collection of films that represent a broad spectrum of South African life. Our lineup will include both feature films and documentaries that celebrate the rich and diverse perspective that South African has to offer.

We look forward to seeing you there!
